LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort has it all. You can enjoy golf or relax at the beach surrounding you with the beautiful Gulf of Mexico or by the pool in a private cabana. Go to nice restaurants or rejuvenate in the spa.
LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort strive to meet the requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Their staff is well trained to assist guests with special needs, so all guests, including those with disabilities be able to have an enjoyable and stay.
The hole resort (almost) is accessible for guests with special needs in the form of ramps and elevators and of course a friendly staff. The pools and Tiki bar are ground level and is also accessible with an ADA lift. Spa treatment rooms are accessible via elevators. Route from the hotel’s public entrance to all areas where food and beverages are sold.
The most of the restaurants are accessible for people with special needs and employees will read menus and other printed/visual information to guests who are blind/low vision.
The resort currently does not have wheelchair-friendly beach mats, or accessible docks/swimming rigs that allow for safe entry and swimming in the open water.
Accessible guests room:
Tub with grab bars, Roll in showers, or transfer shower (specific bathing fixture type is indicated for each room)
Light switches and thermostats lowered.
Grab bars at the toilet and in the shower.
Accessible routes to all parts of the room
All accessible rooms has at least 32 inches wide doors in the bedroom, bathroom and passage doors.
Rooms designated as hearing accessible have features for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, including visual alarms and notification devices.
There are portable communications kits with visual alarms and notification devices for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing which can be installed in any room.
